Our weekly round up of this week's biggest new tours, shows and events.
Organisers of The Great Escape, the new music conference and festival that takes over Brighton for one weekend each May, have unveiled details of a brand new event called The Road To The Great Escape.
The Road To The Great Escape takes place in the week running up to The Great Escape Festival and is set to bring two days of music to Glasgow’s King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut from 9-10 May, and to multiple venues across Dublin from 11-12 of May 2020.
Continuing their mission to promote the best new talent, the new event will feature some of the best up-and-coming musicians from the UK, Ireland and further afield.
Artists who are set to make an appearance include Glasgow based theatre punks Walt Disco, rising country-folk singer Mabes, Blackpool punks Strange Bones and the hotly tipped indie impresario Oscar Lang.
The King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut dates of the event will see exclusive performances from local up-and-comers Somebody’s Child and Lizzie Reid, alongside an appearance from the London based singer-songwriter Matilda Mann.
The Dublin event is set to take place across the city’s Academy2, The Grand Social, Tramline and Lost Lanes venues, and features exclusive appearances from Irish songwriter April, London hip-hop collective House Of Pharaohs and Master Peace.
More artists are set to be announced soon.
