The Very Hungry Caterpillar will make its West End debut this winter

Eric Carle’s iconic children’s tale The Very Hungry Caterpillar takes to the stage at London’s Ambassadors Theatre this December.

One of the most beloved characters in children’s literature The Very Hungry Caterpillar will chomp his way into the West End this December. The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show will run for a limited five-week season at the Ambassadors Theatre from Friday 2 December 2016.

Featuring 75 enchanting puppets, the hour long show will encompass four of Eric Carle’s most popular stories: The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse, Mister Seahorse, The Very Lonely Firefly and, of course, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The latter having sold over 41 million copies and been translated into 62 languages since its release in 1969.

Adapted by director Jonathan Rockefeller here, The Very Hungry Caterpillar has captivated generations with its beautiful hand-painted illustrations.
