From Illusion museums to immersive experiences to a day out with Bluey, here are our top picks for you and the kids this half term

It seems like just yesterday, families across the UK were looking for activities to entertain the kids with over Christmas. And now, here we are again, prepping for another break. But you’re in luck, because we’ve picked the top things to do with the family this February half term, so all you have to do is peruse our list and pick your favourites. From artistic days out to immersive experiences based on your favourite films and TV shows, there’s something for everyone this half term.

The Traitors: Live Experience

Got some traitors in your midst? Think you can do better than Rachel and Stephen, and take the winnings for yourself? Want to train your kids in the art of truth or espionage? Head down to The Traitors: Live Experience in Covent Garden, London, and try your hand at playing the Emmy and BAFTA award-winning game. Take a seat round a replica of the show’s iconic ‘Round Table’ and banish evil-doers (or threats to your cunning plan) from the castle, or spend time at the venue’s Cloak & Dagger bar. Each group has a two-hour slot to get through the game, so plan your strategy and get ready to play the nation’s new favourite game show.

Mundo Pixar Experience

Pixar movie-lovers of all ages will enjoy the Mundo Pixar Experience, where fans can enjoy reimagined sets and scenes from their favourite movies. From Monsters Inc. to Inside Out, Luca to Finding Nemo, Elemental to Toy Story, the Mundo Pixar Experience allows visitors to step inside their favourite stories, and make new memories with their favourite characters. The Mundo Pixar Experience has had a successful run across European cities including Barcelona, Madrid and Brussels, and now – just in time for February half term – you and the whole family can enjoy this immersive activity in London.

FRAMELESS

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to step into a painting? What would happen if Edvard Munch’s ‘The Scream’ actually screamed at you? What it would feel like take a stroll through one of Monet’s Gardens? At FRAMELESS, you can do all that and more. The immersive art experience allows visitors to see modern and contemporary art’s most famous works in new ways. Watch the art come alive, enjoy food and drinks from the in-house cafe and bar, and learn more about the artists through this unique art-tech experience.

TWIST Museum

If stepping into a painting isn’t enough movement for you, then perhaps the TWIST Museum is more your speed. Launched in 2022, Oxford Street’s Twist Museum is a combination of science and art, and home to over 80 interactive installations that invite visitors to take on together. The museum’s name is an acronym for “The Way I See Things”, which is the ethos of the creation of the museum; everyone and everything has its own unique perspective. Shrink in front of your friends and family, walk on walls and see colours that don’t exist – at the TWIST museum, the world is your oyster.

The London Eye

With the rush of everyday life, sometimes we don’t make the time to enjoy the simplicities of homegrown attractions. So why not take the family to the London Eye this half term, and enjoy all that the UK’s capital has to offer? With stunning views of major London monuments including Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and the Thames, the London Eye gives you and your loved ones a front-row seat to one of the world’s most iconic cities. Plus, its located just a stone’s throw away from top restaurants and pubs, which gives you plenty of options to have a family lunch after a nice day on during half term.

Bluey’s Big Play

Join Bluey, Bingo, Bandit and Chilli on their UK tour, as the beloved children’s show comes to a stage near you from February to August 2026. (This gives you plenty of half term planning ahead – if not the spring term, you can always see Bluey in the summer term.) The award-winning TV show has been adapted into an Olivier-nominated play, where Bluey and Bingo try their best to get Dad out of his bean bag chair and into a day of games and adventure. This is Bluey, For Real Life.

Diversity

The seminal dance crew is taking their SOUL tour across the UK and Ireland this spring, with over 60 dates from February – May 2026. This tour will see Ashley Banjo and his talented team of dancers take on themes of technological advancements, artificial intelligence, and what it means to be human in this period. With a host of matinees and evening shows, Diversity’s SOUL tour is accessible to you and your family – whatever schedule you choose – this half term.

Phantom Peak

For the lovers of all things weird and wonderful, Phantom Peak is the perfect place to visit over the school holidays. The steampunk-meets-Wild West immersive theatrical experience is chockfull of lore, games, quests, strange characters, platypus overlords, delicious burgers, and a whole lot more. It’s hard to summarise everything that makes Phantom Peak great in just a few sentences, so why not go and see for yourself?

Prehistoric Planet: Discovering Dinosaurs

Last but certainly not least, The Lightroom‘s Discovering Dinosaurs exhibition is a chance to see the prehistoric world of dinosaurs up close and personal. The immersive show, made in collaboration with Apple TV+, uses a combination of Lightroom’s cutting edge technology, a dazzling original score created by Hans Zimmer, and a team of accomplished researchers to give visitors an in-depth look at how dinosaurs have helped shape our world today.
