Actress Sienna Miller will lead the cast of the new West End production of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof.
It will mark Miller’s first stage appearance in six years, joined by Jack O’Connell for 12 weeks this summer. O’Connoll is known for his turns in gritty dramas ’71 and Starred Up, as well as an early appearance in Channel 4 series Skins.
The latest production of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, running at the Apollo Theatre from the 13 July 2017, will be directed by renowned Australian Benedict Andrews. His previous work has seen him sacrifice tradition for experimental set design, focussing almost entirely on characterisation. According to reports, Andrews is looking to draw out the raw, uncomfortable emotion of the play.
Cat On A Hot Tin Roof surrounds a plantation in Mississippi as Maggie (Miller) and Brick (O’Connoll) position themselves to take control.
