This July enjoy The Hunger Games as never before when a 60-piece orchestra performs the soundtrack live while the film is shown in high definition on a giant screen.

The unique cinematic concert experience will tour four UK cities – Manchester, Liverpool, London and Birmingham.

The Hunger Games is an adaptation of the first novel in the trilogy written by Suzanne Collins. A dystopian sci-fi adventure, it’s set in a post-apocalyptic world where a teenage boy and girl from each of 12 districts in the country of Panem are chosen to take part in an annual televised competition – a battle to the death. When her younger sister gets selected for the 74th running of the games, Katniss Everdeen volunteers to take her place…and then has to fight to stay alive.

Fantastic performances on the big screen from Jennifer Lawrence (who earned a Best Female Performance nod for her portrayal of Katniss at the MTV Movie Awards in 2012), Josh Hutcherson and Woody Harrelson will be matched with spectacular sounds on the stage from a full live orchestra.

Along with a gut-wrenching storyline, The Hunger Games is packed with thrilling action – all of which the magnificent soundtrack brings to life. James Newton Howard, one of the most versatile and respected film composers around, created the bold and imposing score. Also among its contributors are Canadian indie rockers Arcade Fire, who did the orchestral work for Horn of Plenty, the ominous Panem National Anthem.

As one of the most successful film franchises of the last decade, this live musical cinematic experience is a must-see!
