Preview: Kinky Boots prepares to open at the Adelphi Theatre
Kinky Boots is coming to London’s Adelphi Theatre THIS FRIDAY and it’s set to be the hottest thing on the West End in no time.
We caught a sneak peek of the show before it opens as Matt Henry (Lola), Killian Donnelly (Charlie Price) and co prepare to welcome in the public.
Director and choreographer, Jerry Mitchell says the cast couldn’t be more ready for a live audience and from what we’ve seen, he isn’t half wrong.
Based on the British film of the same name, Kinky Boots tells the story of a traditional family business facing financial troubles, when a surprise twist shows that taking risks and putting your mind to something can change everything.
Even without knowing the story beforehand, Matt Henry’s infectious character, in particular, is irresistible and impossible to ignore.
Kinky Boots is also the winner of six Tony awards including Best Musical and Best Choreography, and is written by Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein.
