The production marks a reunion between Platt and Sonnenblick, who previously collaborated on the cult comedy film Theater Camp. Sonnenblick’s recent work also the smash-hit KPop Demon Hunters, for which he won an Oscar.
On working with Platt again, Sonneblick said: “This show means a tremendous amount to me, and it’s a gift to collaborate with Ben again – he’s a once-in-a-generation performer.”
Since Platt’s Tony Award-winning turn in Dear Evan Hansen, his career has spanned Broadway, the West End, film, television and music. His most recent trip to London saw him star alongside Rachel Zegler at the London Palladium in the twenty-fifth anniversary concert edition of The Last Five Years.
