MAMMA MIA! announces extended booking period with new cast members
The ABBA-inspired musical has revealed the names joining the cast as it extends booking through to October next year
MAMMA MIA!has announced the new cast members joining the team at the Novello Theatre this autumn.
Ellie Gilbert-Grey (Freaky Friday the Musical) will join the cast as Sophie, with Kyle Cox (& Juliet) as Sky, Natorii Illidge (Moulin Rouge! The Musical) as Ali, Foxy Valentine (making her West End debut) as Lisa, Edward Turner as Eddie (Grease) and Charlie Garton (Matilda the Musical) as Pepper. Emma Odell (Sister Act) will play Donna at certain performances.
They’ll join Sara Poyzer and Richard Standing continuing in the roles of Donna and Sam respectively, alongside Vivien Carter as Tanya, Laura Medforth as Rosier, Daniel Crowder as Harry and Rakesh Boury as Bill.
New to the ensemble are Margaret Atta, Dan Burstow, Will Forgave, Erin-Sophie Halliday, Nicole Ingram, Harry Jack, Imogen Malone, David Nairne, Andy Rees, Julie Repérant, Beth Shaw and Matt Trevorrow. They join existing ensemble members Matthew Barrow, Lawrence Guntert, Laura Jayne Hardie, Deena Kapadia, Benjamin Kempton, Tom Parsons, Emily Squibb and Ria Turner.
The new company will begin performances at the Novello Theatre from Monday 12 October 2026.
MAMMA MIA! has also extended booking through to 2 October 2027.
The musical celebrated its 27th birthday on 6 April 2026 and is currently the third longest-running musical in West End history, having played almost 11,000 performances to over 11 million theatregoers. Opening at the Prince Edward Theatre in 1999, it transferred to the Prince of Wales Theatre in 2004 before landing at the Novello Theatre in 2012.
MAMMA MIA! features music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, a book by Catherine Johnson, direction by Phyllida Lloyd and choreography by Anthony Van Laast. Packed full of hits from Swedish pop superstars ABBA, the show follows Donna over the weekend of her daughter Sophie’s wedding at their Greek island home. Unbeknownst to Donna, Sophie has invited three of her mother’s old flames to join the celebrations, with the aim of finding out which is her father.
