Things to do near MAMMA MIA! The Party
There are a ton of things to do and see within the O2 itself. For thrill seekers, Up at the O2 is a must. This 90-minute experience lets you climb the famous roof, taking in skyline views of London from 52 metres above ground level. You can make the climb in the daytime, at sunset or at twilight.
If you’re feeling competitive, within the O2 you’ll find Boom Battle Bar. Here you can challenge friends and family to a ton of games and activities including augmented reality axe throwing, augmented reality darts, crazy golf, beer pong, shuffleboard and even karaoke.
If you have the time, we also recommend taking a short bus ride in the direction of Greenwich. Here you’ll find the Royal Observatory Greenwich, where you can explore exhibits on space, astronomy and the history of time – and stand on the historic Prime Meridian line.
Also in the area you’ll find Queen’s House, first built as an adjunct to Tudor Palace of Greenwich, and now home to an amazing collection of free art, including famous portraits and marine paintings. If the weather’s nice, soak up the sun in Greenwich Park, one of London’s eight royal parks, packed full of history stretching back to Ancient Roman times. You can take in amazing views from the hills, book a tennis court, take a boat out on the lake, or wander through the Flower Garden.

There’s plenty of great outlet shopping to be found within the O2. You’ll find over 60 designer brands offering up to 70% off here, all right next door to MAMMA MIA! The Party. If you’re in the Greenwich area, we also recommend taking a stroll through Greenwich Market, where you’ll find great art, antiques, clothing, crafts and lots of fantastic food if you’re craving a snack – just don’t ruin your appetite for the four-course meal awaiting you in the Greek taverna!

The closest tube station to the O2 is North Greenwich, on the Jubilee line, just a two minute walk away. Some bus routes also drop off and pick up nearby. It’s best to plan your route with TFL.

ABBA Voyage – This futuristic show housed in a purpose-built arena in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is one of London’s best ABBA-themed activities. The virtual concert uses cutting edge technology to transport you back in time and let you witness ABBA onstage – what better way to prepare for MAMMA MIA! The Party could there be?
Mamma Mia Bottomless Brunch – If you’re heading to London without the kids, Tonight Josephine in Shoreditch offers their themed brunch on multiple Saturdays throughout the year. Check their schedule to avoid disappointment – lots of similar ABBA-themed brunches run sporadically in London, so you’re bound to find something.
Here We Go Again Afternoon Tea Bus Tour – A family-friendly option is by Golden Tours, this 90-minute tour of London’s landmarks comes with sweet and savoury treats and an ABBA-themed singalong.
Ruislip Lido Beach – If MAMMA MIA! The Party has you craving an island getaway, this is the closest thing you’ll find in London. This 60-acre lake in Hillingdon isn’t a swimming spot, but there is plenty of space on their sandy beaches to sunbathe and build sandcastles, weather allowing.
The Hellenic Centre – For a dose of Greek culture, this education centre in Marylebone showcases the best of art and culture from Greece and Cyprus with a calendar of events housed in a beautiful early 20th century building. Check their schedule to see what’s on during your visit.
