Enjoy Sister Act like never before

Oh Happy Day! Sister Act Live choir tours the UK.

1992 musical comedy Sister Act has received the live cinema treatment with the Sister Act Live Choir UK Tour. The show immerses fans in the cinematic musical experience.

The event boasts a full-piece choir and band, accompanying the onscreen nuns with live performances of songs from the film’s original soundtrack.

“We are delighted to be touring this powerful and uplifting live cinema experience,” says founder Dele Aro. With a number of shows already under their belt, Dele adds: “We were delighted to see the shows connect such a large diverse group of people, to share in a unique experience and create new memories around a much-loved film.”

The iconic hit Sister Act film tells the story of Vegas lounge singer Deloris Van Cartier, played in the movie by Whoopi Goldberg. After witnessing a murder at the has of her boyfriend, Deloris enters a witness protection programme and turns to a convent for shelter. Disguised as a nun, Deloris finds solace in the church choir.

“Whether you’re a Sister Act fan or not, the soundtrack is amazing and the nuns sing with so much soul,” says show Choir Director Lovedale Harrison. The show includes hit songs Hail Holy Queen, My Guy (My God) and I Will Follow Him.

The Sister Act Live Choir features the Uplifted Voices choir, who have featured on the BBC Gospel Proms, as well as providing backing vocals on The Voice, Britain’s Got Talent and The X Factor.
