Telling the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded air passengers during the wake of 9/11, and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them, Come from Away has now announced its cast.

This joyous new musical recounts the incredible true story of how the residents of Gander, Newfoundland, welcomed passengers of planes from around the world that we rerouted following the attack on the World Trade Center in New York.

The cast includes West End and Broadway legend Rachel Tucker, renowned for her portrayal of Elphaba in Wicked.

The remaining announced cast members are Jenna Boyd, Nathanael Campbell, Clive Carter, Mary Doherty, Robert Hands, Helen Hobson, Jonathan Andrew Hume, Harry Morrison, Emma Salvo, David Shannon, and Cat Simmons, with Mark Dugdale, Bob Harms, Kiara Jay, Kirsty Malpass, Tania Mathurin, Alexander McMorran, Brandon Lee Sears and Jennifer Tierney.

Come from Away has earned widespread critical and audience acclaim since it opened on Broadway in 2017 , where it continues its sold-out, record-breaking engagement. Further to this Come from Away also has engagements in Canada, with a 60-city North American tour launching this October and an Australian production confirmed for summer 2019. A feature film adaptation is also in the works.

The incredible show – which translates the actual words of real life Gander residents – will now land in London for its long-awaited UK premiere at the Phoenix Theatre from 30 January 2019. Opening night is scheduled for 18 February 2019.
