BBL Championship winners the London Lions are set to take on the California Poly Mustangs next month and to celebrate we’re giving fans the chance to win two courtside tickets for the epic clash.
The two teams will face off on Friday 6 September 2019 at Copper Box Arena, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, with tip-off scheduled for 19:30.
Coached by Vince Macauley, London Lions are the reigning BBL Champions and current holders of the BBL Cup.
Last season the Stratford-based team won 27 of their 33 league matches and their guard Justin Robinson was named as the season’s MVP.
In a bid to retain their championship the Lions have added two new recruits to their roster ahead of the upcoming 2019/20 season, US-born guard/forward Dii’Jon Allen-Jordan and Spanish-born guard Jorge Romero.
The new season begins for the reigning champions with a cup game away at Worcester Wolves on Friday 20 September 2019.
Ahead of the start of the new season, the Lions will be facing off against the California Poly Mustangs in a showcase game at their Copper Box Arena home.
Based out of the California Polytechnic State University the Mustangs ply their trade in the NCAA Big Western Conference. The club produced NBA player David Nwaba who currently plays as a shooting guard for the Brooklyn Nets.
