As sporting seasons gain pace, tense clashes reach their climax and the world’s finest prepare to make their mark, it’s all kicking off this autumn. We’ve rounded up a handful of unmissable picks from the world of sport, all happening over the next few months.

WBO female middleweight champion Savannah Marshall goes head-to-head with IBF, WBC, WBA and Ring magazine belt holder Clarissa Shields in this dramatic and much awaited clash for the title.
Arsenal Women vs Tottenham Hotspur
When? 24 September
Where? Emirates Stadium
The first North London Derby of the 22/23 season kicks off at the Emirates Stadium for one of English football’s biggest rivalries. Still in the glow of the Euros win, England skipper Leah Williamson will be hoping to continue the winning streak for the Gunners.
FIM World Supercross British Grand Prix
When? 08 October
Where? Cardiff Principality Stadium
Music and motorsports collide in this high-octane, supercharged event. Some of the world’s best supercross riders, including Britain’s own Max Anstie and Dean Wilson, will battle for world championship title glory, while two-time Brit nominated, multi-platinum selling rapper AJ Tracey provides the bars.
Rugby League World Cup
When? 15 Oct – 19 Nov
Where? Various Stadiums
One of the longest running World Cup tournaments in international sport, the Rugby League World Cup is finally here after postponement last year, and will be held in England this autumn. Men’s, Women’s and Wheelchair matches will all take place across England, with the men kicking off in Newcastle at St. James’ Park and all competitions ending in Manchester at Old Trafford.
World Gymnastics Championships
When? 29 October – 06 November
Where? M&S Bank Arena, Liverpool
More than 550 gymnasts from 75 countries will head to Liverpool for the UK’s fourth time hosting the World Gymnastics Championships. As well as having its own huge prestige, the championships also serve as qualifiers for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. No pressure, then.
WWE Live
When? 30 October
Where? OVO Hydro, Glasgow
Smackdown comes to Scotland this October as WWE Superstars bring WWE Live to Glasgow, including International Champ Gunther, Undisputed Tag Team Champs The USOS and Smackdown Women’s Champ Liv Morgan.
