Slash launches his own horror film production company

The guitarist couldn’t be venturing into a more appropriate genre

Slash, the Guns N’ Roses guitarist otherwise known as Saul Hudson, is moving into cinema. BerserkerGang, the brand new horror banner, is the result of a collaboration between Slash and Michael Paszt, James Fler and Andrew T. Hunt of Raven Banner, Rodrigo Gudino of Rue Morgue magazine, and producer Pasha Patriki of Hangar 18 Media.

The company’s first venture is due to be announced at the Cannes Film Festival in May. “I’ve always been a huge horror fan, especially going back to the days when horror movies actually scared the hell out of you,” said Slash of BerserkerGang. “I want to get into the heart of the producing business so I can try and make movies that I’d like to see.”

Hunt has confirmed that the focus of the company will be ‘quality over quantity’. “We will be selectively choosing projects that we collectively feel best represent the brand,” he said.

Whilst BerserkerGang is still in its infancy, fans will soon get a taste of what these collaborative projects might look like. Slash has already teamed up with Gudino and Raven Banner on horror film The Breach, executive-producing and scoring the project, which will be released later this year.
