Professor Brian Cox sets a new Guinness World Record

The physicist and national treasure eclipses his own tour record for the second time

Scientist, broadcaster, musician and all-round national treasure Professor Brian Cox CBE has set a new record for most tickets sold for a science tour, earning him a place in the Guinness World Records 2023 book.

The Universal – Adventures In Space And Time tour took place between January and October 2019 and sold 230,873 tickets, beating the previous record of 158,589 which Cox himself set during a tour of 2017.

Speaking of the achievement, Cox says “It is wonderful that so many people want to spend an evening contemplating our place in the universe. I’m very proud on behalf of the entire team involved in putting on my tours that we can extend this record.”
