Manchester City return to Wembley for Adobe Women’s FA Cup final against Brighton
Following a dramatic Adobe Women’s FA Cup semi-final, Brighton and Manchester City head to the stadium on 31 May
Fresh off a historic title win in the Women’s Super League, Manchester City are set to return to Wembley Stadium at the end of this month to play the Adobe Women’s FA Cup final. Standing between them and a domestic double are Brighton & Hove Albion, with the showdown scheduled for 31 May.
Manchester City and Brighton both played tense semi-finals on Sunday 10 May, with City beating out six-time winners Chelsea and Brighton defeating Liverpool in a five-goal contest. Manchester City continues a standout season, carrying them towards another chance to lift the Woman’s FA Cup after their previous victory in 2020. This would be Brighton’s first Women’s FA Cup win, adding another layer of intrigue to what will undoubtedly be a hard-fought final.
The Women’s FA Cup has continued to draw bigger crowds in recent years, with the turnout at Wembley regularly setting new benchmarks for women’s football. Last year’s final drew over 76,000 fans, reinforcing the competition’s place as one of the biggest dates in the domestic football calendar. The 2026 Adobe Women’s FA Cup final takes place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 31 May, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm.
