The first trailer for new Liam Gallagher documentary has been released
Knebworth 22 will be in select UK cinemas next month before a full streaming release
Liam Gallagher has announced a new feature-length documentary, Knebworth 22, which centres around his huge shows earlier this summer. Gallagher performed to crowds of 170,000 over two sold-out nights back in June, 26 years after Oasis’ historic performance at the Hertfordshire venue.
Performing to different generations at the same spot a quarter of a century on was “beyond biblical,” the 50-year-old has said in a statement. “Knebworth for me was and always will be a celebration of the fans as well as the music. Enjoy the film and let’s do it again in another 26 years”. Watch the first trailer below.
Directed by Toby L and produced by Josh Connolly, the team behind Foals documentary Rip Up The Road, this film charts Gallagher’s return to the venue with a particular focus on his fans and the singer’s importance on their lives.
Knebworth 22 will hit select UK cinemas for a limited time from Thursday 17 November, before being available to stream on Paramount+. Theatrical screenings will be also including two additional songs from the Knebworth performance, exclusive to cinemas, and will be available to book from 09:00, Friday 21 October.
