Jimmy Eat World announce three huge UK shows to celebrate 25 years of Bleed American
The beloved Arizonan band will play the seminal album in full to UK audiences for the first time
Summer 2026 will see Arizona alt. rockers Jimmy Eat world return to the UK for three outdoor shows to coincide with the 25th anniversary of their seminal 2001 album Bleed American.
Kicking off at The Piece Hall, Halifax, on 14 August, the band then head to Cardiff Castle on 15 August before their biggest ever UK headline show at London’s Gunnersbury Park on 15 August. Fans will be able to hear Bleed American in its entirety, alongside other favourites from Jimmy Eat World’s 30-year career.
“When we printed the last mix of Bleed American, we felt like we had achieved something great for ourselves,” says vocalist and lead guitarist Jim Adkins. “There was no barometer of how it would connect with people outside of the studio and we are still in awe with the life the record and songs have had since their original release. Bleed American is as much yours as it is ours, so we want to celebrate it with you all in a very special way.”
The band will be joined by friends Rise Against and The Get Up Kids for each show, with Jay Som joining for the Cardiff and Gunnersbury Park shows. Adkins appeared on Jay Som’s album, Belong, earlier this year. Tickets are available from 10:00, Friday 5 December 2025.
Released in 2001, Bleed American showcased a punchier but also catchier side of the band, from the opening chops of its namesake to the singalong chorus of ‘The Middle’ and the emotional goosebumps of ‘Hear You Me’ and ‘If You Don’t, Don’t. Each of the album’s singles charted in the Top 20 of at least one chart, and within a year it had gone platinum.
News of the Bleed American shows comes shortly after the release of Something(s) Loud, a vinyl pressing of previous only digital tracks, such as ‘Something Loud’ and the previously never released song, ‘Failure’. Jimmy Eat World are currently in the studio working on new material.
