Six more reasons Download Festival 2016 is going to RULE
Download Festival 2016 just got SIX times bigger, with a fresh batch of bands confirmed for next summer’s bill.
This lovely lot will join Rammstein, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden at Donington between 10 – 12 June 2016.
Korn
Korn at the top of their game in 2015? You better believe it, and next year already looks even bigger for the California metallers. If you caught them on the Slipknot run earlier this year, you’ll know exactly what we’re talking about. They’ll play Friday 10 June.
Motörhead
The mighty Motörhead will play Download Festival on Friday 10 June. A British rock ‘n’ roll institution in their own right, there’s something about Lemmy and co at Donington that just feels special every time.
Deftones
If you’re a Deftones fan, 2016 is going to be a big year for you. With the Sacramento quintet set to return with their eighth studio album early next year, their Saturday (11 June) stop at Download will be one for the history books.
Megadeth
Metal veterans, Megadeth, release their 15th album Dystopia early next year, giving fans even more reason to catch them on the Saturday at Download. You’ll want to get down the front early before these LA thrash metallers come on.

Nightwish
It’s the turn of symphonic operatic metallers, Nightwish, to hypnotise crowds on Sunday 12 June. Their unique blend of heavy riffs, intense instrumentals and dual vocals from Floor Jansen and Marco Hietala are sure to send Donington into a trance.
Disturbed
Fresh from the release of 2015’s Immortalized, Illinois metallers Disturbed are set to deliver a Download set just as epic. Catch them on Sunday 12 June and prepare to fist pump… a lot.
