The news follows Lizzo’s wildly successful Glastonbury appearance late last month, where the singer drew a huge crowd performing on the festival’s The Other Stage.
In April this year, Lizzo released her third and most successful album to date Cuz I Love You.
Cuz I Love You spawned the singles Juice, the anthem which has permeated the airwaves and became a viral hit, alongside the equally successful Truth Hurts.
The album received rave reviews on release, with the NME describing Lizzo as “not only the electric, complex pop star that the world wants – but also the one it needs,” in a five star write up.
First breaking through with her debut album Lizzobangers in 2013, the Detroit raised musician has become a global sensation, praised for her fun-filled music that takes on the topics of body inclusivity, race and sexuality.
Lizzo is also well known as an expert flute player, an instrument that has become a fan favourite part of her high energy live shows.
Alongside her music career, Lizzo has appeared as a guest judge on the hit TV reality show RuPaul’s Drag Race and is set to appear alongside Constance Wu and Jennifer Lopez in the upcoming crime comedy film Hustlers.
Lizzo is also a staunch supporter of LGBT issues and recently performed at the Pride celebrations in Sacramento, California.
The star’s last UK headline shows saw her perform sell out gigs at O2 Forum Kentish Town, London and at O2 Ritz Manchester.
Lizzo returns to the UK later this year, for the Cuz I Love You Too tour.
