Download 2014: Linkin Park to play ‘Hybrid Theory’ in full

Linkin Park are the second headline act to be confirmed for Download Festival 2014.

The nu-metal band will be performing their 2000 debut Hybrid Theory in full on the second night of the festival.

Speaking of their performance, Chester Bennington said: “We have been kicking around the idea of playing Hybrid Theory for some time and the perfect opportunity is Download 2014. T

“The legendary energy of the Download crowd is the apex of the rock experience and we are very excited to share this special night with them.”

They join previously announced headline act Avenged Sevenfold and rock icon Rob Zombie, who will both be appearing on the Friday.

Fall Out Boy have also been confirmed for next year’s festival, and will take to the main stage on the Saturday.

Next year’s Download will be held on 13-15 June 2014 in Donington Park, Leicestershire and tickets are already on sale at an Earlybird rate of £10 off 2013 prices until 9am Friday November 8.

The final headliner will be announced at 8am tomorrow (Wednesday 6).
