Arch Enemy added to Bloodstock festival line-up
Arch Enemy lead the latest line-up additions to Bloodstock, alongside Cheslea Grin and Oni.
“We’re very much looking forward to being a part of this year’s edition of Bloodstock, which actually takes place very close to where my father was born,” Arch Enemy guitarist Michael Amott says of the announcement. “We’ll be bringing our ‘pure f**ing metal’ attack home… Hail to England!”
Now fronted by Alissa White-Gluz, the band are preparing to release their full Wacken set on DVD and Blu-Ray, titled As The Stages Burn.
Their addition as Sunday’s special guests comes alongside Salt Lake City deathcore mob Chelsea Grin and prog-metallers Oni joining the bill.
Already announced, Amon Amarth will take headline duties on Friday 11 August, with recent GRAMMY Award winners Megadeth taking on the Ronnie Dio Stage on Sunday 13 August. The Saturday headliners are still to be announced.
Other bands appearing across the weekend include Blind Guardian, Hatebreed, Testament, Obituary, Brukeria, Whitechapel, Skindred, Possessed, Annihilator, Municipal Waste, Hell, Decapitated, Soilwork, Macabre, Scarab and Wintersun.
Bloodstock runs from 10 – 13 August 2017 at Catton Park, Derbyshire. Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster.co.uk.
