International Women's Day

Six ways to celebrate International Women’s Day 2026

From musicals to comedians to fresh talent ready to dominate the music industry, here are the game-changers to champion for Women's Day

International Women’s Day has arrived, and with it comes the celebration of boundary-breaking women across all industries. History-makers who are paving the way in music, on the theatrical stage, in comedy and across sport. While women should always be championed all year round, IWD is the perfect time to up the ante. If you’re looking for events, gigs and matches to add to your Women’s History Month calendar, look no further. Here are our top six ways that you can celebrate International Women’s Day (and beyond.)

The superstar: CMAT

The term “It Girl” gets thrown around quite flippantly these days, but if anyone truly embodies the term, it’s CMAT. The Irish country-pop superstar is bringing Euro Country to a city near you, as she heads on the eponymous UK tour starting 9 March in Brighton. Plus, if you just can’t get enough, catch CMAT at Beard Theory Festival in May, LIDO in London’s Victoria Park in June, or even supporting Lewis Capaldi at TRNSMT in Glasgow.

The musical: SIX the Musical

The women who had to endure Henry VIII’s tyranny as his wives are way more than “Divorced, Beheaded, Died, Divorced, Beheaded, Survived.” SIX The Musical makes sure of it. The production chronicles Aragon, Boleyn, Seymour, Cleves, Howard and Parr, on their journey to reclaim their narratives as fiercely as they can. And the best part? The show is booking through to January 2027, so if you really want to put your money where your mouth is and celebrate iconic women all year round – here is your chance.

The stand-up: Michelle Wolf

The comedian’s Best Job In The World UK tour kicks off in June. That gives you enough time to catch up on her Netflix and HBO comedy specials on IWD, and see just how the Pennsylvania-born standup earnt that Primetime Emmy nomination. Michelle Wolf will be your favourite comedian by the end of this, we promise you.

The VIP: Alanis Morisette

You oughta know that the patron saint of angsty music, Alanis Morisette, is not only going on tour this year, but gracing a host of summer festivals with headline performances. Not only that, but you can secure the best seats in the house with our exclusive Alanis Morisette VIP packages. See a VIP as a VIP, which is the way to do it in our humble opinion. Jagged Little Pill has never sounded so good.

The sports stars: Women’s Six Nations Cup

Wales will take on Scotland at Cardiff Principality Stadium on 11 April, and you’d better get your ticket early to secure a good seat. Also playing on 11 April is England’s Red Roses as they face off with Ireland at Allianz Stadium, plus, more Women’s Six Nations fixtures are coming up later in April and May. Cheer on your favourite team and see the best that rugby has to offer for IWD.

The fresh talent: Chloe Qisha

If Chloe Qisha isn’t on all your playlists yet, she needs to be. Blending cinematic storytelling with forward-thinking pop riffs, the singer-songwriter has cemented herself as one to watch. After her triumphant mainstage performance at last year’s All Points East, the ’21st Century Cool Girl’ returns to UK stages at Isle of Wight Festival in June. Don’t miss out.
