The Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company lands season at The Garrick

Sir Kenneth Branagh is setting up a theatre company with a residency at London’s Garrick Theatre for a year from October 2015.

Dame Judi Dench, Rob Brydon and Lily James are already set to perform in the first season of plays under the Cinderella director’s new company.

The aim, Branagh said, is “to have a creative home where you could do a programme of work, rather than just one-offs”.

Judi Dench will star in The Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company’s opening production of The Winter’s Tale.

Come May 2016, Cinderella co-stars Lily James and Richard Madden (also well known for his role as Robb Stark in Game of Thrones) will appear alongside each other in Romeo and Juliet, directed by Branagh.

In late 2016, Branagh will take on the lead role in John Osborne’s The Entertainer, a role made famous by Sir Laurence Olivier.
