Charlie Stemp and Danielle Hope Join Snow White cast
They'll join Comedy legend Dawn French in the festive West End pantomime.
Organisers of Snow White at the London Palladium have announced that Charlie Stemp will return to the West End to play The Prince in this year’s pantomime. Also joining the cast will be Danielle Hope, who will play the title role of Snow White.
The hysterical take on the classic fairy tale will run from 8 December 2018 to 13 January 2019 at the world-famous theatre.
The duo join a cast that includes Dawn French, one of the UK’s greatest comedic actresses, who is set to star as The Wicked Queen. Loved for her irreverent humour and her portrayal of Geraldine Granger on the BBC sitcom The Vicar of Dibley, expect French to play the villainous role with the utmost hilarity.
A line-up of London Palladium panto favourites will also join her. Among the cavalcade of quirky characters are the fantastically flamboyant Julian Clary as The Man in the Mirror, and ventriloquist Paul Zerdin as Muddles. Gary Wilmot will appear as Mrs Crumble with Nigel Havers tapped for The Understudy. Plus, Strictly Come Dancing’s Vincent & Flavia have been announced as The King and The Queen.
Snow White comes from the same people who just won a 2018 Olivier Award for Dick Whittington at the London Palladium. Among the glowing reviews, The Telegraph called that show “gloriously funny” while The Times raved it was “a total joy”.
Following on from that resounding success, the plan is to pack their newest pantomime with plenty of sparkle and spectacle. The lavish production will feature music, special effects and theatrical magic. You’ll laugh, you’ll cheer, you’ll be dazzled…and then you’ll laugh some more as you delight in the silliness and crazy banter of The Magnificent Seven dwarfs.
