Patti LuPone announces special concert performances at the London Coliseum
The stage legend will bring her acclaimed concert Matters Of The Heart to the West End in February 2027
Three-time Tony Award winner and legend of the Broadway stage Patti LuPone is heading to London, bringing her critically acclaimed theatrical concert Matters Of The Heart to the London Coliseum. She’ll play two unmissable dates at the West End venue, on 14 and 15 February – a perfect Valentine’s Day night out.
Matters Of The Heart is based on the CD album of the same name, released in 1999 and named one of the best recordings of the year by The Times and Time Out. Twenty-five years ago, LuPone brought the tour to London and around the world – now, to celebrate that milestone anniversary, she returns.
In Matters Of The Heart, Patti LuPone explores the crimes, affairs and mysteries of the heart, performing over two dozen love songs from the Broadway catalogue and the contemporary charts.
Patti LuPone said: “Performing my show “A Life in Notes” at the Coliseum in 2025 was a special night that I remember dearly. I can’t wait to come back with “Matters of the Heart,” which I first performed at the Donmar Warehouse in 1999. And it’s Valentine’s Day, Dolls. Will you be my Valentine?”
Matters Of The Heart is conceived and directed by Scott Wittman, with musical direction and arrangements by Joseph Thalken. The concert features the Four Play String Quartet.
Patti LuPone is a three-time Tony Award winner for her performances as Joanne in Marianne Elliott’s gender-swapped award-winning production of the Stephen Sondheim and George Furth musical Company, Madame Rose in the 2008 Broadway revival of the Jule Styne-Stephen Sondheim and Arthur Laurents classic Gypsy, and for the title role in the original Broadway production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice production of Evita.
LuPone launched her concert career at New York City’s legendary nightclub Les Mouches back in 1980, performing on Saturday nights for 27 weeks straight – all while starring in Evita. Ever since then, she has toured across North America and beyond, and appeared frequently on Broadway and in the West End. Her celebrated concert repertoire includes Don’t Monkey with Broadway, Far Away Places and A Life in Notes.
