Oh, Mary! announces complete summer casting for the West End
Here’s everyone you’ll be able to see in the Oval Office over the course of summer 2026
Casting has been announced for the summer run of Oh, Mary! at the Trafalgar Theatre, as Cole Escola returns to the role of Mary Todd Lincoln. As previously announced, the Olivier-winning play will star show creator Cole Escola from 20 July to 15 August, before Jinkx Monsoon takes over the role from 17 August to 26 September.
The show has also confirmed a filmed performance later this month, with Escola starring alongside Giles Terera as Mary’s Husband, Michael Urie as Mary’s Teacher and original cast members Biance Leigh as Mary’s Chaperone and Tony Macht as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant.

From 20 July to 1 August, Cole Escola plays Mary Todd Lincoln, with Giles Terera as Mary’s Husband, Michael Urie as Mary’s Teacher, Bianca Leigh as Mary’s Chaperone and Tony Macht as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant.
From 3 to 15 August, Cole Escola continues as Mary Todd Lincoln, with by Giles Terera as Mary’s Husband, Dino Fetscher as Mary’s Teacher, Kate O’Donnell as Mary’s Chaperone and Oliver Stockley as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant.
From 17 August to 26 September, Jinkx Monsoon steps into the role of Mary Todd Lincoln, with Scott Karim as Mary’s Husband, Dino Fetscher as Mary’s Teacher, Kate O’Donnell as Mary’s Chaperone and Oliver Stockley as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant.
Currently starring is Mason Alexander Park as Mary Todd Lincoln, alongside O’Donnell, Stockley, Fetscher and Karim. Park’s final performance will be on 18 July, while O’Donnell, Stockley, Fetscher and Karim will play their final performances on 26 September.
Casting from 28 September onwards is yet to be announced. Oh, Mary! is currently booking at the Trafalgar Theatre until 2 January.
Written by Escola and directed by Sam Pinkleton, Oh, Mary! imagines the final weeks of Mary Todd Lincoln before Abraham Lincoln’s assassination with little interest in historical accuracy and a lot of laugh-out-loud outrageousness. The play premiered off-Broadway in January 2024 before transferring to Broadway’s Lyceum Theatre
The play premiered off-Broadway at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in January 2024 before transferring to Broadway’s Lyceum Theatre later that year. It made its West End premiere at the Trafalgar Theatre in December 2025, winning Best Entertainment or Comedy Play at the 2026 Olivier Awards.
