Nick Mohammed will host the 2026 Olivier Awards
The comedian will host the 50th anniversary of the Olivier Awards at the Royal Albert Hall in April
Actor, comedian and Celebrity Traitors contest Nick Mohammed will host the UK’s biggest theatre awards show this April. The Olivier Awards are set to celebrate their 50th year this spring, and Mohammed will helm the festivities at the Royal Albert Hall on 12 April. The Olivier Awards will announce their nominees on 5 March at 12pm.
Mohammed is a double-Emmy nominated actor known for his work on Ted Lasso as well as Deep Cover, Slow Horses and Intelligence, which he created, wrote and executive produced. He has also starred A Christmas Carol (ish) and White Rabbit Red Rabbit on the West End. Most recently, he made it to the final of the BBC’s Celebrity Traitors.
Mohammed said: “To host the Oliviers in its 50th year is not only a dream come true but an absolute honour and privilege. I love it not only for the breadth of theatrical talent it celebrates, but also for the extraordinary variety of live performances it showcases on the night itself. While I will try to remain in the wings during these, I can’t promise I won’t be singing along (in full voice). But at least I won’t be on roller-skates this time!”
