Nativity! The Musical is set to return to the capital for a third successive year.
The smash-hit opens at London’s Eventim Apollo on 11 December 2019, running until 29 December 2019.
Producers have confirmed that Sharon Osbourne, Danny Dyer and Dani Dyer have joined this year’s cast.
Sharon will be starring as Crystal Collins – the mother in law to Hollywood Producer Harry Parker.
Osborne has worked in the music industry for over 40 years, managing Black Sabbath and her husband Ozzy Osbourne. Many will know the star for her role as a talent judge on seven series of The X Factor and five seasons of America’s Got Talent.
After a stellar performance last year, Danny Dyer* will return to the show in 2019 to play the role of Hollywood Producer Harry Parker.
Dyer is best known for his Award-winning role as Mick Carter on the long-running BBC One soap Eastenders.
Also returning to the production is Dyer’s daughter, and winner of Love Island 2018, Dani Dyer who will play the role of Polly Parker.
Earlier this year it was announced that Rylan Clark-Neal* will star in the production as The Critic.
The presenter first rose to fame as a contestant on the ninth series of The X Factor, eventually leaving the competition in week 7.
Rylan is set to appear on TV this winter alongside Zoe Ball, as the co-presenter on Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two.
Debbie Isitt, the creator of the much-loved films has adapted the magical movie for the stage. The musical revolves around St Bernadette’s School’s attempt at mounting a musical version of the nativity play. Their plans hit a snag when teacher Mr Maddens promises that a Hollywood producer is coming to see the show to turn it into a film. Join him, his crazy teaching assistant Mr Poppy, the hilarious children and a whole lot of sparkle and shine as they attempt to make everyone’s Christmas wish come true.
The musical features favourites Sparkle and Shine, Nazareth, One Night One Moment, She’s the Brightest Star and more new songs.
Nativity! The Musical started life as the hit 2009 film, starring Martin Freeman as Mr Maddens and Marc Wootton as Mr Poppy.
Simon Lipkin reprises his role as Mr Poppy, having performed the part for the last two years. Lipkin’s stage credits include Nicky/Trekkie in the original Avenue Q London cast, Guys And Dolls at the Phoenix Theatre, and Rock of Ages in the original London cast.
