Myra DuBois joins the cast of Titanique in the West End
The drag star will take on the role of Ruth from September at the Criterion Theatre
Myra DuBois is set to join the West End cast of Titanique this autumn, setting sail in the Olivier Award-winning musical for a limited six-week engagement. The drag performer, comedian and television personality will play Ruth from 1 September to 11 October, as the latest guest star to set sail on the Celine Dion-themed voyage.
Currently playing Ruth is etiquette expert William Hanson, who remains with the production until 26 July. Original West End cast member Stephen Guarino will then return to the role from 28 July to 30 August, before DuBois takes over.
Written by Tye Blue, Marla Mindelle and Constantine Rousouli, Titanique reimagines James Cameron’s blockbuster film through the songs of Céline Dion. The show won Best Entertainment or Comedy Play at the 2025 Olivier Awards, and this year it made a splash on Broadway, recieving four Tony Award nominations including Best Musical.
DuBois said: “How thrilled I am to be joining the cast of Titanique in London’s glittering West End! I saw the show a few weeks back and had one of the best nights out in the theatre I’d had in a long time; gales of laughter from start to finish. And Ruth is the role of a lifetime. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into the character and give the part the dramatique gravitas, levity, brevity and integrity that this script is calling out for!”
The current cast includes Astrid Harris as Céline Dion, Rose Galbraith as Rose and Freddie King as Jack, alongside Cameron Vear, Michael Vinsen, Nikki Wheeldon and Lewis Francis as The Iceberg.
Titanique is directed by Tye Blue, with choreography by Ellenore Scott and orchestrations by Nicholas James Connell. Design comes from Gabriel Hainer Evansohn and Grace Lauchbacher for Iron Bloom Creative Production, alongside costume designer Alejo Vietti, lighting designer Paige Seber and sound designer Lawrence Schober.
