We chat to Matthew Croke, who is set to take on the title role in the West End production of Disney’s Aladdin.

Marking a year since it premiered in the West End, Disney’s Aladdin will soon welcome Matthew Croke into the fold as the title-character. Croke will take over the role from Dean John-Wilson.

It marks Croke’s debut in the West End, having previously starred in Annie Get Your Gun (Crucible Theatre), Singin’ in the Rain (UK tour), Funny Girl (Menier Chocolate Factory), Shall We Dance (Sadler’s Wells), A Chorus Line (Crucible Theatre) and West Side Story (UK & Ireland tour).

The musical features all the songs from the classic Academy Award®-winning film including Friend Like Me, A Whole New World and Arabian Nights, plus some added surprises.

As he gears up for the role, we caught up with Croke at their rehearsal space to find out more about things to come. Watch the interview below:
