Matilda The Musical announces new West End cast and celebrates 15 years in London
The beloved Tim Minchin musical has revealed all the new names arriving at the Cambridge Theatre
Matilda The Musicalcelebrates 15 years in London this year, making it the tenth longest-running musical to ever play in the West End. The production has just announced new young performers who will share the title role of Matilda: Lola Judd, Scarlett Lindsey and Sachie Sheridan will all join existing Matilda Sithuni Gamage from 15 September 2026.
Also announced are Matt Corner as Mr Wormwood and Amy Ross as Mrs Wormwood, alongside Lucy St. Louis as Miss Honey. St. Louis will begin performances early next year, taking over from Eve Norris, who continues in the role of Miss Honey until 17 January. Jon Robyns remains in the role of Miss Trunchbull,
Other adult performers joining the ensemble include Molly Cleere, Pedr Davies, Will Haswell, Karina Hind, Leyton Holmes, Joshua Lear, Stephanie Lindo, Stephen Murray, Ashley Rowe, and Charlotte-Kate Warren. They join existing ensemble members Alex Louize Bird, Antony Lawrence, Tania Mathurin, Stuart Rouse, Millie Brown-Thornton and Callum Train.
New young performers sharing the roles of Bruce, Lavender, Nigel and the Crunchem Hall students are Bodhi Allnutt, Christopher Azzopardi, Spencer Braam, Indigo Bush-Ramsey, Skylar Blu Copeland, Charles Dark, Kaycee Davis, Erin Donovan, Sloane Hart-Sheehan, Keilah Kofi, Naomi Mae Laing, Rise Maben, Oli Manning, Sara Murati, Felix Pereiro, Joseph Purton, Lucas Rait, Harry Relf, Freya Sainsbury, Porscha Mai Staniford, Jacob Thompson and Indie Truslove. They join existing young cast members Alejandro García-Pérez, Alexzander Neophytou, and Samuel Sturge.
Based on the novel by Roald Dahl, Matilda The Musical follows Matilda Wormwood as she escapes her unsympathetic family by escaping into a world of stories and discovers some extraordinary abilities as she goes. The musical has a book by Dennis Kelly with music and lyrics by Tim Michin and is directed by Matthew Warchus. It won Best New Musical at the Olivier Awards back in 2012 and has gone on to win over 100 awards.
