He'll make his stage debut at London's Hammersmith Apollo.
Louis Walsh, perhaps best known as an X Factor judge alongside Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne, will make his stage debut in Nativity! The Musical later this year.
Taking a step away from auditioning contestants on X Factor, he’ll appear in London’s Hammersmith Apollo from the 13 December 2017.
He’ll be taking on the roll as a Hollywood producer helping teachers Mr Maddens and Mr Poppy in preparing their class to perform the nativity play.
The school opts to transform the story into a musical, encouraging the involvement of Louis Walsh’s character.
“I am thrilled to be joining the cast of Nativity! The Musical in London this December,” Walsh announced.
“I am a great fan of the films and I can’t wait to get started as the Hollywood Producer to see if the class of St Bernadette’s really have the X Factor.”
As well as his time on the X Factor judging panel, Louis Walsh has also appeared on Britain’s Got Talent and The X Factor USA. He’s earned his credentials in the music industry managing the likes of Boyzone and Westlife.
Louis also worked on previous X Factor judging panels alongside the likes of former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Ann Tweedy.
Nativity! The Musical will run for five dates, from the 13 December until the 17 December 2017 at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.
The musical features hit tracks from the film, including Sparkle and Shine, Nazareth, One Night One Moment and She’s the Brightest Star.
