The musical reveals the full cast joining Alexandra Burke at the Troubadour Wembley Park theatre
Full casting has been revealed for I’m Every Woman – The Chaka Khan Musical, which returns to London for a limited run at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre this summer. The show first premiered at the Hackney Empire earlier this year, before travelling to Coventry’s Belgrade Theatre and Eastbourne Congress Theatre. Tracing Khan’s journey from musical prodigy to global star, the show charts the defining moments that shaped one of contemporary music’s most influential voices – and packs in plenty of Chaka Khan hits.
Alexandra Burke continues in the title role, with Jordan Frazier appearing as Alternate Chaka. The newly announced cast also features Chrissie Bhima as Marie Stevens, Ashley Stroud as Taka Boom, Charlotte St Croix as Milini Khan, Miles Anthony Daley as Richard Holland, Jelani Munroe as Hassan Khan, Sophie Earl as Joni Mitchell, Samuel Sarpong-Broni as Stevie Wonder, Teddy Wills as Fred Hampton, Chris Breistein as Steve Winwood, Maryla Abraham as Sandra Stevens, Daniela Morain as Tammy Michelle and Grant Zavitkovsky as Bob Monaco.
Joining them in the ensemble are Connor Wilkins, Gregory Armand, Zinzile Tshuma, Oskarina O’Sullivan, Ryan Hughes, Kazmin Borrer, Ryan Webb, Nimi Spiff, Amara Campbell, Lara Beth-Sas and Nay-Nay.
Written by Nia T Hill and directed by Racky Plews, I’m Every Woman – The Chaka Khan Musical includes classic tracks like ‘Ain’t Nobody’, ‘I Feel for You’, ‘Tell Me Something Good’, ‘Sweet Thing’, ‘Through the Fire’, and ‘Higher Love’. It will also feature choreography by Ebony Clarke, music supervision by Mark Crossland and casting by Debbie O’Brien
A 10-time Grammy Award winner, Khan was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Rufus in 2023 and remains one of the defining voices of funk, soul, R&B and pop.
