Producers have confirmed that Goldilocks and the Three Bears will take over the London Palladium for a strictly limited five-week run this winter.

Performances of the much-loved pantomime begin on Saturday 7 December 2019, running until Sunday 12 January 2020.

Returning to the London Palladium this festive season will be Paul O’Grady, who will star in the production as The Evil Ringmaster. Paul will be returning to the London Palladium following his performance as The Wicked Stepmother in Cinderella, which reintroduced pantomime to the venue in 2016.

Joining O’Grady, and making his Palladium panto debut will be Matt Baker who will play the role of Joey the Clown. Baker is best known to television audiences as the presenter on the hugely popular BBC1 shows Countryfile and The One Show.

Julian Clary, who starred in last year’s production of Snow White at the London Palladium as The Man in the Mirror, will take on the role of The Ringmaster in Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

The production also stars season regulars Paul Zerdin as Silly Billy, Nigel Havers as Daddy Bear and Gary Wilmot as Dame Betty Barnum.

Joining the cast will be a series of internationally renowned specialty acts including illusionist Phil Hitchcock, dynamic roller-skating act The Skating Medini, Sascha Williams from the Billi Family Circus and Europe’s youngest stunt rider Peter Pavlov.

The panto tells the tale of Dame Betty Barnum and her daughter Goldilocks, whose circus is under threat from an evil rival circus owner. With the help of their friends, the pair must battle to save their circus. When it seems all hope has disappeared, the three brilliant bears join the fight to save the day.

Goldilocks and The Three Bears will be directed by Michael Harrison with choreography by Karen Bruce. Set design will be by Ian Westbrook, with a costume design team including Hugh Durrant. Visual special effects are provided by The Twins FX, lighting by Ben Cracknell, sound design by Gareth Owen with original music by Gary Hind.

The seasonal production of Goldilocks and the Three Bears is showing at the London Palladium from Saturday 7 December 2019 until Sunday 12 January 2020
