David Walliam’s award-winning adaptation of Gangsta Granny returns to the West End for two weeks from 14 August 2018 at the Harold Pinter Theatre following its national tour.

A far cry from the judges hot seat, the Britain’s Got Talent alumni, turned comedian, turned children’s author tells the tale of hijinks, heartbreak and heists with the help of beautiful sets and an incredible cast. Walliams – the former star of BBC’s Little Britain – wrote Gangsta Granny back in 2011, before the popular children’s book was made into a film in 2013 and later adapted for the stage. It follows the story of a young boy’s mundane Friday night visits with Granny while his parents are out dancing – but soon develops into something much more exciting when Ben discovers a sparkling surprise in Granny’s biscuit tin.

Bored of Friday nights filled with cabbage dishes, join aspiring young plumber Ben and his Granny as they embark on the wildest adventure they could never have imagined.

Ballroom dancing and scrabble can wait. You see… Granny has a secret, and as soon as Ben finds out about it, they hatch a devious plan to steal the Crown Jewels. Saying goodbye to cabbage soup, cabbage pie and even cabbage cake – sooooooooo boring – Ben prepares for the most exciting Friday night in history, with his very own Gangsta Granny.

Nominated for the Best Entertainment & Family Olivier Award, David Walliam’s sparkling stage-show will have you on the edge of your seat, and dancing in the aisles as you journey underground with the dynamic duo on the adventure of a lifetime.
