More skaters confirmed for Dancing on Ice live tour
The celebrities join live tour hosts Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.
Current TV series contestants Kem Cetinay and Alex Beresford, as well as two-time Dancing On Ice champion Ray Quinn, will join the Dancing On Ice Live UK Tour, which kicks off in London on the 23 March 2018.
The celebrities join the previously confirmed live tour hosts Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, guest judge Denise Van Outen, and fellow skaters Jake Quickenden, Cheryl Baker and Max Evans.
“The last year has been absolutely crazy and learning to skate has been one of the biggest challenges of my life that I never thought I’d have the opportunity to do,” says Love Island winner Kem Cetinay. “I’m so happy to be continuing my Dancing on Ice adventure on the live tour. It’s going to be amazing travelling around and meeting everyone who’s been enjoying the show and voting for me – I can’t wait!”
Kem will be joined by Good Morning Britain weatherman Alex Beresford. “I’m usually letting the British people know the bad news about the weather in their city, so I’m really looking forward to being able to travel around the country and hopefully give them something to smile about for a change,” he announces. “Skating for the huge arena audiences is going to be an incredible experience – bring it on!”
The pair, currently competing in the tenth series of the ITV show, will be joined by two-time champion Ray Quinn, who won back in 2009 as well as the All Star series in 2014. “This year’s show has been fantastic to watch, with some great talent emerging,” Ray says. “But the competitive side in me can’t wait to get back on the road, back on the ice and hopefully back at the top of the leaderboard!”
It was recently announced that Denise Van Outen, who has previously judged on Ireland’s Got Talent as well as BBC1’s TV series I’d Do Anything and Any Dream Will Do, will join Tovill and Dean on the panel.
“I’m so excited to be working on the Dancing on Ice Tour and cannot wait to see the skaters wow the audiences in the arenas,” the Strictly Come Dancing finalist said. “It’s going to be spectacular and as a fan of the show, I’m delighted to join the Ice Family!”
More celebrities will be announced alongside professional skaters from the TV series. The tour opens in London on the 23 March, and runs across 27 shows.
