Cast announced for Everybody’s Talking About Jamie

The full cast, joining John McCrea, have been announced for the Dan Gillespie Sells written musical.

Full casting has been announced for the West End transfer of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie. Directed by Jonathan Butterell, and written by Dan Gillespie Sells and Tom MacRae, the musical stars John McCrea in the title role of Jamie.

McCrea debuted the role at the Sheffield Crucible, returning to the stage at London’s Apollo Theatre from Monday 6 November 2017.

He’ll be joined by Josie Walker, who reprises her role as his mum, Margaret.

They’ll be joined by Daniel Davids (Levi), Mina Anwar (Rayia ‘Ray’ Begum), Luke Baker (Dean Paxton), Courtney Bowman (Fatimah), Tamsin Carroll (Miss Hedge), James Gillan (Tray Sophisticay), Harriet Payne (Bex), Shiv Rabheru (Cy), Lucie Shorthouse (Pritti Pasha) and Kirstie Skivington (Vicki), all of which were in the original cast in Sheffield.

The new cast members are Alex Anstey (Laika Virgin), Luke Bayer, Marvyn Charles, Ken Christiansen (Jamie’s Dad), Jordan Cunningham (Sayid), Ryan Hughes (Mickey), Daniel Jacob (Sandra Bollock), Cherelle Jay, Rebecca McKinnis, Phil Nichol (Hugo), Chloe Pole and Lauran Rae (Becca).

The story focusses on Jamie as he overcomes prejudices, beats the bullies, and steps out of the darkness into the spotlight. The musical brings new songs by lead singer of The Feeling Dan Gillespie Sells to the stage, written by Tom MacRae.
