Bette Midler confirms plans to return to the stage in Hello Dolly
Bette Midler has her sights set on New York City again as she announces plans to return to Broadway for a revival of ’60s musical Hello Dolly.
Amazing!
The iconic starlet – and winner of three Grammys, four Golden Globes, three Emmys, and a special Tony Award – revealed the news to her some 831,000 Twitter followers last week.
“Yes, I am taking on the role of the beloved Dolly Levi in “Hello, Dolly!”” she said, confirming plans to reprise the role made famous by Carol Channing in the 1964 Broadway debut season, and Barbra Streisand in the 1969 Hollywood screen adaptation.
Now how can we get this to transfer across to the West End?!
