We’re here to help. We’ve curated a list of things to do solo, on a date or with the whole family, and planned your next day out so that you don’t have to. Take a look at our handy Things To Do Guide below and start your next adventure today.
For the sports fans
Get a taste of Major League Baseball right on your doorstep, with the MLB World Tour: London Series this summer. The New York Mets and the Philadelphia Phillies faceoff at London Stadium on 8-9 June. Take the whole family out to the ballgame. Experience the historic rivalry while enjoying classic New York and Philadelphia-inspired ballpark food, live DJs and more.
Speedsters can catch the best of Britain’s indoor motorsport competing at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium this August for the FIM Speedway Grand Prix. The race will feature four 500cc Speedway GP machines battling it out over four anti-clockwise laps on an oval circuit for a coveted spot on the Speedway podium.
Barbarians vs Fiji | Springboks vs Wales
It’s an international double-header for Rugby Union fans across the UK. South Africa takes on Wales for the Qatar Airways Cup, followed by Barbarians vs. Fiji for the Killik Cup—all at Twickenham Stadium on 22 June 2024. Put simply, international rugby does not get days like this, making it one event you won’t want to miss.
For the Londoners
Whether you’re a seasoned city slicker, or brand-new to the hustle and bustle of the UK capital, our picks of London-based events have something special waiting for you.
Why look at art when you could be a part of the art itself? While most museums say, “don’t touch”, Frameless invites you to step inside it – featuring four galleries with works by Monet, Van Gogh and more, along with a blend of classic and contemporary music.
Head down to London’s Tobacco Docks for Europe’s biggest independent annual motorcycle show, featuring viewings of custom motorcycles from all over the world, curated Moto retail experiences, food and drinks, and live entertainment – all in celebration of the two-wheel automobile.
A weekend with a wide array of pets is a weekend well spent, in our opinion, and that’s exactly what you get with Petplan’s London Pet Show. From talks by celebrity guests to pet competitions and family activities, London-based pet lovers have a lot to look forward to.
Nationwide
You don’t need to travel far to find great events happening near you. Here are few of our favourites coming up:
Foodies won’t miss the UK’s largest BBQ festival experience at Ascot Racecourse from 20-21 July and Maldon Essex from 17-18 August. Think food, bourbon and beer. There’ll be restaurant pop-ups and international BBQ demos including South African braai, Japanese Yakitori, Brazilian Churrasco – and even plant-based BBQ. Every taste will be accommodated at the Smoke and Fire Festival this summer.
Amusement Parks: Alton Towers, Thorpe Park and Chessington World of Adventures
The weather is getting (somewhat) better, and that means it’s time to gather the troops and get on a rollercoaster. Whether it’s a whole weekend of rides, mini golf, and water attractions in Staffordshire; or glamping, a zoo, and attractions in Chessington, there is so much to choose from at the UK’s most loved theme parks.
The theatrical adaptation of the Emmy award-winning children’s cartoon, Bluey’s Big Play brings an original story for the whole family to enjoy to the stage. Catch Bluey, Bingo, Mum, Dad and friends in a hilarious and heart-warming new adventure across the UK.
