It’s been quite the year for sports fans the world over, from heavyweight clashes to the heartache (or joy) of the Euros. The excitement shows no signs of stopping, either, with many travelling far and wide to cheer on their nation in Paris.
If you’re feeling tired of watching the action from your sofa and want to get off to the races, we’ve lined up some of the biggest sports events the UK has to offer over the coming year, from cycling and basketball to horse riding and breakdancing.

London Athletics Meet 2025

After another sell-out edition in 2024, London Athletics Meet will return to the capital next summer as part of the Wanda Diamond League series. The big stars of Paris and of the World Championships will be on show once again for the world’s biggest one-day athletics meet.
