The IAAF World Championships London 2017 are on track to surpass their best ever attendance record this year. More than 660,000 tickets have already been sold for the event being held from 4 – 13 August, with more than a quarter of a million athletics fans set to see the opening weekend action at London Stadium.

Haven’t got seats yet? You still have a chance! Today organisers announced that the last remaining tickets for all 14 stadium sessions will be released on 1 August at 10:00.

So mark your calendars for next Tuesday morning. That’s when you can try to score tickets to some of the most in-demand events at the Championships.

For example, watch Mo Farah at the sold-out opening night on 4 August in the 5,000m. He’ll also be competing in the 10,000m at Session 13 on 12 August.

And come bid farewell to eight-time Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt. The man with the 100m world record is taking to those blocks for the last time during Session 3 on 5 August.

Plus, don’t miss seeing Jessica Ennis-Hill’s reallocated medal ceremony during Session 5 on 6 August (when you can also witness fellow Brit Katarina Johnson-Thompson going for glory).

“It is going to be a special night for me and I am honoured that the IAAF and the organisers of the London World Championships have offered me the chance to receive my medal in front of the British fans,” said Ennis-Hill. “The London Stadium is where I won Olympic gold in 2012 and I never thought I would be back in the stadium receiving another gold. I have fond memories of the podium in 2012 and I am looking forward to creating some more next month.”

With 2,000 athletes from 200 nations participating, the IAAF World Championships London 2017 is the biggest event to be staged at the London Stadium since the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Don’t let the opportunity to be part of it all pass you by! Your final chance to get tickets is Tuesday 1 August at 10:00 via
