Monster Jam is returning to Cardiff
The world-famous trucks will be at the Principality Stadium in May 2019.
Organisers of Monster Jam have confirmed that they’ll be bringing their world-famous monster-trucks to Cardiff next year, with more dates and cities to be announced soon.
The action takes place at the iconic Principality Stadium on Saturday 18 May 2019. It will be the sixth time that the extravaganza has rolled into the world-famous stadium.
The larger than life sport returns to the UK for a live experience unlike any other. Expect thrills that will leave fans on the edge of seats as the world-class athletes navigate their 12,000-pound machines through the intense and muddy course, at the home of Welsh Rugby.
As well as the course event, the drivers will compete in the hugely popular freestyle competition, manipulating their trucks do perform wheelies, doughnuts, cross ups and big air stunts.
The trucks can reach speeds of up to 70 miles per hour, standing at 12-feet tall and 10-feet wide and atop 66-inch tall tires. The larger than life trucks generate between 1500 and 2000 horsepower and fly up to 35 feet through the air.
Speaking about returning to the UK, Monster Jam’s Claire Ballard said: “With the continued success of previous shows in Cardiff, it brings us great pleasure to be returning to the Principality Stadium. We can’t wait for fans to experience a show like no other – you will never forget the first time you saw a Monster Jam truck fly across the air”.
Fans will also have to the opportunity to meet their favourite drivers, get autographs and get up close to the trucks at Monster Jam’s Pit Party.
