One of humankind’s greatest achievements, The Apollo Program, is set to be celebrated with two very special shows in London next year.

Legends Of Apollo will take over London’s Troxy on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May 2020.

Both nights will be hosted by distinguished British ESA Astronaut Tim Peake and will feature conversations with legendary figures who lived and participated in the historic Apollo Program.

Guests scheduled to appear on stage include Gerry Griffin , the Former Director of NASA’s Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center and Apollo Flight Director of every Apollo Mission, Fred Haise, Apollo 12 Astronaut and Lunar Module Pilot, and Charlie Duke – Apollo 16 Astronaut and the tenth and youngest human to ever walk on the moon.

NASA’s Apollo Program ran from 1961 until 1972 with its main goal to successfully land human beings on the surface of the moon and bring them home safely.

The program became a success in 1969 when the Apollo 11 mission successfully landed Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the surface of the moon, capturing the imaginations of the public across the globe.

An estimated 600 million people tuned in to watch the landing and Armstrong utter the immortal words, “that’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”.

NASA would go on to launch six more Apollo Missions, before closing the programme.

One of the most iconic programs in space history, the Apollo Missions have featured in films such as Apollo 13 and First Man.

Legends Of Apollo promises a new extraordinary theatrical experience that will give startling new detail into this defining era of space exploration. The two hour show combines audio and video footage from the missions displayed on state of the art high definition screens.

Both events will feature live music from father and daughter team Mark and Kali Armstrong, son and granddaughter of the legendary Neil Armstrong.
