WATCH: Self Esteem delivers acoustic cover of Becky Hill’s ‘Remember’
The Mercury Prize nominee delivered an incredible performance on BBC Radio 1
Self Esteem was in BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge this week to deliver an acoustic cover of Becky Hill’s hit single ‘Remember’.
Rebecca Lucy Taylor was joined by a group of backing singers who helped her with a nearly-entirely acapella performance of the 2021 hit. The song was nearly unrecognisable as Self Esteem took the electro-pop summer anthem and transformed it into a slow ballad.
The singer also performed her own single ‘F*cking Wizardry’ from her Prioritise Pleasure album for Live Lounge listeners.
In July, Self Esteem was nominated for the Mercury Prize alongside 11 other artists, the winner of which is to be announced this week.
