A Viagra Boys fan grated cheese over crowd at Desert Daze festival

The front row festival-goer was caught having too Gouda time.

Irreverent post-punk band Viagra Boys have once again found themselves in the centre of amusement after a fan was caught grating cheese over other fans at the front row of their set at Desert Daze festival last Saturday (1 Oct).

The incident came to light after Stereogum managing editor Chris DeVille Tweeted the rumour he’d heard from festival photographers that had spotted it. One of those photographers, Oscar Moreno, then replied with visual confirmation.

The unknown cheesemonger, acting (prov-)alone, was also reportedly grating the hard cheese into crowd member’s mouths.

The Swedish six-piece responded on Instagram in typically witty fashion, “Parmesan us-tour is going grate”. The group already have a shrimp motif (Shrimptech Enterprises, ‘Shrink Shack’ and the Shrimp Sessions), and can now add this to their sharing board.
