Viagra Boys detail new album Cave World, drop first single ‘Aint No Thief’
The irreverent post-punk group are heading to the UK in May
Swedish post-punkers Viagra Boys have announced details of their new album Cave World, set for release via Year0001 on 08 July. It will be their third full-length, following 2021’s Welfare Jazz.
Along with the announcement, the band also dropped its grizzly lead single ‘Ain’t No Thief, along with a video, which you can see below.
In a press release, the band have said that Cave World was inspired by current affairs and a conspiracy tape about evolution. “People look down at apes as primitive life forms,” says frontman Sebastian Murphy, “but we’re just this horrible, lazy society killing each other and starting wars, while they’re able to love and feel. Does that make them the true ape or us?”
