Rockstar Energy presents TRNSMT Festival announces first wave of acts for 2025
The festival has revealed the first batch of names heading for Glasgow this summer
TRNSMT Festival returns to Glasgow Green for 11 – 13 July 2025, and now is a good time to start getting excited as the festival has revealed the first names on the line-up – including three huge headliners.
US rap star 50 Cent has been announced as Friday’s headliner, making him the first rapper to headline TRNSMT since Stormzy took to the stage in 2019. Homegrown Scottish talents Biffy Clyro will headline on the Saturday, with a setlist packed with hits from across their nine albums. Closing out on the Sunday will be TRNSMT favourite’s Snow Patrol, sending the crowd at Glasgow Green home on a high.
Also announced for the Friday are Irish pop-rock band The Script, on the back of their Satellites world tour. They’ll be joined by Wet Leg, Kneecap, Jamie Webster, Confidence Man, Twin Atlantic, The Royston Club, Calum Bowie and Tanner Adell, with more names yet to be announced.
Fontaines D.C, the post-punk Irish group who charmed critics with their fourth album ROMANCE, will take to the stage ahead of Biffy Clyro on Saturday. Also performing on the Saturday will be the Kooks, Underworld, Inhaler, Sigrid, Wunderhorse, Jake Bugg, James Marriott, Biig Piig and Amble, with more still to be revealed.
Sunday will see Gracie Abrams, one of music’s hottest new voices, play ahead of Snow Patrol’s closing set. Also playing the festival’s final day will be Shed Seven, The Lathums, The K’s, Nina Nesbitt, Nieve Ella, Rianne Downey and Kerr Mercer, with more names to come.
“After a record-breaking sell-out in 2024, we can’t wait to have everyone back for the eighth year of incredible live music,” said Geoff Ellis, Festival Director of Rockstar Energy presents TRNSMT. “We’ve worked hard to pull together an eclectic lineup including homegrown headliners and global icons, spanning a range of genres we know music fans of all ages will love. There are plenty more acts and festival experiences to be announced next year so, keep your eyes peeled.”
