The Muppets Mayhem recruits Tommy Lee, Lil Nas X, Chris Stapleton and more

The cameo-stuffed Disney+ series follows Dr Teeth & The Electric Mayhem as they record their debut album

Disney+ has announced a 10-part series following puppet rock band Dr. Teeth And The Electric Mayhem. The Muppets Mayhem will see The Muppets’ incomparable house band as they attempt to record an album for the first time after 45 years on the road. The trailer promises more than a few cameos from big names across music’s broad spectrum.

“The Mayhem? They taught Mötley Crüe how to shred and party,” says Tommy Lee. Chris Stapleton remembers his first Mayhem show as a college student, while Lil Nas X talks idolising Dr T as a child. “I bought gold grills just to be like him,” he says. Zedd, Steve Aoki, Paula Abdul and Deadmau5 all also make appearances. Weird Al Yankovic crops up as a glowing head in the sky, naturally.
