Soccer Mommy, Snail Mail, Bully & Speedy Ortiz perform at pop-up Pavement museum
They all covered Pavement, naturally
Whilst the band played a four-night run at Kings Theatre this weekend, a museum celebrating all things Pavement briefly appeared in NYC. Called Pavements 1933-2022: A Pavement Museum, the exhibit celebrated all things Pavement with memorabilia – both real and fake – and performances from a number of bands.
Soccer Mommy, Snail Mail, Bully & Speedy Ortiz all performed sets of entirely Pavement covers. At the end of the show, the acts all got together to form a supergroup for a rendition of ‘Grounded’. Watch below:
Following the tour, the museum will find a permanent place of residence in the band’s native Stocktown.
Pavement arrive in the UK this October. Find tickets here.
